The mission of St. Joseph’s Haiti Parish Twinning Program in Keyport, New Jersey, is to develop a relationship with and serve those in need in the village of Pignon, Haiti. We do this in partnership with friends all over the country. Our primary emphasis is on empowering the poorest of the poor towards self-sufficiency and sustainable living by assisting with a microcredit loan program (MICAPPI), education at all levels, veterinarian services, a reforestation program and adequate healthcare. Our programs are available to all persons regardless of their religious affiliation.
St. Joseph’s HPTP is part of a larger organization, the Parish Twinning Program of the Americas (PTPA), which twins 346 parishes in the USA with parishes in Haiti and 48 parishes with parishes in Latin America. We also have links with Fonkoze the largest microcredit bank in Haiti, and are recognized by the US government as a 501 (c)(3) organization. Our clinic in Pignon, Haiti, is registered with the Haitian Ministry of Health.
